The Western Haig uses powder charge. This small bore gun shoots 12 cal. lead bullets fired by small .4mg powder charge, or in other words a single paper cap, like a greenie stickum cap. The gun is a single action, single shot cap gun. One bb down the barrel, one cap on the frame ahead of the hammer. No caps included in this sale, but they are available on this website. It's not a co2 gun. You'll find handsome lines, grip and balance. Western in style, but patented ball and cap actions. 9 1/2 steel barrel cased in knurled styrene stock. The Haig pisol is a wonderful cap gun for teaching beginners the art of pistol shooting. It provides low cost shooting with the explosive realism of large caliber firearms.
The Haig is an entirely new innovation. Its mechanism makes it simple and easy to operate and its design makes it an attractive display piece. The only maintenance necessary is that of keeping the barrel clear of powder and lead corrosion. This should be done with frequent cleaning with Hoppe's #9 nitro powder solvent.
The brochure goes on to explain about Ammunition, Loading, Setting up an indoor target and how to be an expert shooter even how to position your body and foot placement. It also gives specific safety rules.
